Announcement text:
Cycles are something we encounter again and again in ourselves and in nature. The hormonal balance of human beings alone is very complex and changes constantly in the course of life, over weeks or within a day. Menstruation as a distinct and complex hormonal cycle is one of the recurring cycles that is very noticeable for humans. Scientifically, it is clear that different hormone levels affect not only how we feel about our bodies, but also our social and mental well-being and our perceptions. Not paying attention to the menstrual cycle carries an increased risk of disease. It also presents de facto barriers to equal participation for people with menstrual cycles.
In an exchange of experiences and science, we will talk about the menstrual cycle in the workplace and cyclical work. Together with you and with experts we want to open a space for impulses and discourse about the menstrual cycle and other cycles in our working world.
The betterplace well:being program is a project of the betterplace lab and is supported by BKK∙VBU, pronova BKK and Salus BKK.
